What exactly is a hydrosol, and how is it different from rosewater or a toner?
A hydrosol is the gentle, water-based co-product of steam distillation - in this case, from real organic rose petals. Unlike typical “rose water” made by mixing water with rose essential oil or fragrance and then a solubilizer and then a preservative, our organic rose water hydrosol is the real deal. It contains the full spectrum of water-soluble plant compounds, making it naturally soothing, refreshing, and beneficial for all skin types.
How do I use Rosewater Hydrosol in my skincare routine?
So many ways! Use it as a toner after cleansing by either spritzing on face (3-5 pumps) or dampening a cotton round for a more effective clean, a midday skin refresher, or a hydrating layer before applying face oil or moisturizer. It also works beautifully to set makeup or calm the skin after sun exposure or shaving.
You can also use it in DIY face masks by replacing the water when mixing powdered clays, giving your skin extra soothing and balancing benefits.
