Place your soap bar on the dish after use so water drains away freely. Allow both bar and dish to dry between uses. Occasionally wipe the dish clean and let it air out. Using a rotating pair (flip between two dishes) helps prevent trapped moisture and keeps everything fresh.

What about the different styles?
Because we carry multiple styles, the design of the soap dish may vary depending on which piece is shipped. Rest assured, every style shares the same drainage functionality and wood quality. But if you absolutely LOVE one - send us a note and we will do our very best to get that one to you if we have it :)
How long does the wood dish last?
With proper care, these wooden dishes can last many months to years. If they ever begin to show wear, a light sanding and re-oiling with food-grade oil (e.g. olive) can refresh them.
Can I clean or disinfect it?
Yes. If it gets dingy, gently rinse or wipe with mild soap and water, then air dry fully. For deeper refresh, you can soak it briefly in hot water or wipe with a vinegar-water mix but don’t leave it submerged for long, as wood does best when allowed to breathe.
Pro tip: Rotate between two dishes every two weeks so each dries completely preventing it from getting waterlogged.
