Hi, I’m Lisa - founder, formulator, and heart behind Joy to Jar.

My journey into organic skincare wasn’t born out of a trend - it was born out of pain.

I’ve lived with chronic pain since childhood and underwent multiple back surgeries. After the last one, I was left with debilitating neuropathy. The prescription medications I was given didn’t feel right - one even affected my heart. That was the turning point. I knew I had to find another way.

With a lifelong love of science and a curiosity that never left me, I returned to school and became a certified organic skincare formulator. I began creating products for myself and my family - starting with what would become my signature Pain Relief Balm - The Strong Stuff. Friends and family experienced the difference and urged me to begin offering it to others. And that’s how this all began.

As I kept researching and formulating, I found myself returning to ingredients that have been used for centuries - plant remedies rooted in tradition and cultural wisdom. What made it even more magical was seeing how many of these time-honored ingredients are now being validated by modern science. These are the ingredients I love most: the ones with a story, a soul, and real results.

Today, everything I make is crafted with that same passion. From sourcing to formulation, I’m committed to quality, ethical transparency, and creating products that feel just as good as they look and smell. I work with suppliers who align with my values -those who honor the land and the people who cultivate it.

And through it all, Joy to Jar has been my guiding light. It’s more than a name...it’s a promise. A little happiness, a little healing, and a lot of love from nature, poured into every bottle.

What began as a deeply personal mission has now become a family-run labor of love. My husband and daughter have joined me on this journey...supporting the work, the vision, and the hands-on care that goes into every product we share with you.
